The Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory International Summer School offers an intensive program of private lessons, lectures, master classes and performances in these specializations:
Instrumental Performance including piano, organ and all orchestral instruments
Vocal Performance
Choral and Orchestra
Conducting
Chamber Music Accompaniment
Composition
Piano
Vocal and Strings Pedagogy
Musicology
Students receive three individual lessons (50 min.) per week; have an opportunity to participate in daily master classes given by leading Russian professors, and take part in the School performances in famous Rachmaninov Hall.
The Pedagogy specialization includes lectures, observations and seminars in the renowned Russian system of Music Education from primary through to high level.The Musicology specialization includes individual lessons and lectures on music history and theory of Russian classical and folk music, European musical culture and World Music Studies. All International School participants have an opportunity to attend to all concerts, which will run in the Moscow conservatory halls simultaneously with the School academic program.

Pedagogical staff of the International Summer School 2011
| Over 50 leading professors of the Moscow conservatory, internationally renowned for their artistic and academic achievements are in the staff of International School. Among them: Sergei Dorensky (piano), Victor Merzhanov (piano), Irina Bochkova (violin), Eduard Grach (violin), Natalia Shakhovskaya (chello), Maria Tchaikovskaya (chello), Petr Glubokiy (vocal), Pyotr Skusnichenko (vocal), and many others.

Certificate
| Each student will receive a Moscow conservatory Certificate upon completion of the International School studies.
|
Accommodation & Meals
| International School participants will stay at the Moscow conservatory’s dormitory, or for extra fee can opt for one of Moscow’s many hotels. Two meals per day will be provided at the Conservatory’s café.
|
Cultural Program
| The International Winter & Summer School is located in the historic Moscow conservatory building in the center of one of the world’s great cities. Guided tours to places of interest in and outside Moscow will be conducted. You will visit the Moscow Kremlin, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Bolshoi Theatre, the residences of Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Richter.

Optional Activities
| At extra cost to them, students can select any one or more of the following options:
Courses in the Russian Language/Accompanist for the preparation of student’s concert program and August 20 performance
Special Chamber music class with co-students of the International School or with students of the Moscow Conservatory
Special/personal class in accompaniment Class with professional singers
Additional private lessons with Conservatory professors
Interpreter for/during special/personal excursions
No extra fees are charged for Chamber Music or Accompaniment Classes if they are part of the student’s main curriculum.

Cost of the Program
| 1st week – August 1-7 (check out in August 8 at 12.00)
2nd week – August 8-14 (check out in August 15 at 12.00)
3rd week – August 15-21 (check out in August 22 at 12.00)

You may choose any types of accommodation in Moscow and order a guide.
